In a Different Country

The warm kind. Of course, Iceland was looking sunny and mild when we left. We spent most of the day traveling.  WOW airlines seems to have a technology problem in Iceland as well as Cincinnati.  They wanted us to use the drop bag kiosks and wouldn't let us use the checkin line even though there was no one in it. Two of the three kiosks they sent us to pretended to take our information but didn't print the tags. The third one had a sign saying out of order. We went back to the pink ladies and told them but of course, they walked us back to the kiosks to make sure we had used them correctly.  When they couldn't make them work, they still wouldn't let us go to the empty line and took us to a different kiosk. That one had paper in it so it worked.

The flight takes three and a half hours. Once again, it was packed. Mickey was in probably the only row that had an empty seat. In Amsterdam,  they had a ladder in the back so you could deplane from front or back. The problem was everyone was looking forward so they missed the open door in the back. Overall, my impression is that except for not giving you anything to eat or drink or entertainment,  the airline is a lot like any other airline.
All we've done in Amsterdam so far is get to the hotel which is close to Vondel Park. We walked a little, found something to eat and drink, walked a short way into Vondel Park and oriented ourselves to the neighborhood. So not many pictures but Mickey took these in the park:

Some plant that looks like giant rhubarb

Big Building next to the Park
